The Day Two Sisters Died

No first names,
As I recall.
From a womb
Born together.
Nurtured by time.
Strong and tall,
So separate,
So vibrant,
Yet so alive.
Numbered in days,
Numbered by nights,
Now silence,
Where only memories survive.
All erased
From conscious sight,
Leaving only souls
To peer from heaven.
Forever we shall remember
The day two sisters died,
The eleventh of September.
